There are special locations, and then there are places of exceptional caliber. Boutique Guesthouse Everelmus is one such place. This ^18th-century mansion, the sum of several medieval houses, is not only located right in the historic center of Bruges, but also on the Dijver, right next to the Groeninge Museum. Or stay right in the heart of that Golden Age. The building was renovated with great love and patience over many years, retaining its historical soul while at the same time looking very contemporary. After all, true beauty is timeless. And thanks to the ingenious renovation and the owners' sense of style, the centuries-old beauty of this heritage building is now even more apparent.

The original parquet was carefully restored, the tiles in the entrance hall are 300 years old and the new owners preserved historically valuable wallpaper. The pared-down lounge on the second floor presents a magisterial view of the Dijver, and in the evergreen, sunny city garden you can hear the carriages passing by, giving you a real sense of the Bruges of yesteryear. All the colors used were found in this historic house. The 4 rooms were named after pigments used by the Flemish Primitives. Each room has its own charm, from a magisterial truss to a sleek bathtub, and each one unpacks with elegant bed linen by Valerie Barkowski and design items by Serax. Kermes, Orpimento and Malachite allow you to look out over the Dijver, while Azzurro appears at the back of the garden, in the coach house of yesteryear. Breakfast is served overlooking the garden, in summer even in a nice sheltered spot outside, and in winter you can enjoy afternoon tea in the salon. True luxury is also timeless.
