You will be staying just 5 km from the iconic Menin Gate in Ypres, surrounded by greenery. Fields and meadows stretch as far as the eye can see. Sometimes populated by Scottish Highland cattle, other times cute lambs steal the show.

Windmills appear on the horizon and a piece of undiscovered frontline territory awaits. A walk of almost 3 km takes you along the former Allied front line, past British trenches and the Colne Valley and Caesar's Nose military cemeteries. History lies at your feet here. Back2Front is also located between two cycle junctions, giving you no fewer than three ways to reach Ypres. Along the water, through the bicycle tunnel, or via Pilkemseweg. If you want a little more, opt for the Back2Front bicycle route (38 km) or venture out on the routes that Katja and Sandy put together themselves. One is tailored to nature lovers and the other to foodies. So, get your bicycle and enjoy!
