About this place
Once upon a time, you boarded the train here, then cycled past it for years, and now you can finally take a peek inside and spend the night. Welcome to Bels Lijntje, a place to stay with a story. This authentic station building is located on the former Railway Line 29 that connected Turnhout with Tilburg in the Netherlands. Officially opened in 1867 and permanently closed in 1973. When the trains stopped running, the track was transformed into a popular cycling and walking path called... Bels Lijntje. It's a 35 km route that lets you explore Turnhout, Baarle-Nassau and Hertog, Alphen and Tilburg. Because today, the landscape is just as beautiful and varied as it was back then.
The station building underwent a complete metamorphosis, but its robust character look was preserved. And the accommodation is conveniently divided into 2. For rent for 16 or for 24. If you book the entire stay, you will have separate sitting and living areas and 2 kitchens. The bar is always present. Equipped with bar fridges filled with wine, beer, prosecco and soft drinks, table soccer and darts. Outside there is just as much to do. The garden is fully fenced and packs with playground equipment, a covered lounge area and covered bike storage. Parking space is plentiful and even a charging station shines.
