About this place

It was written in the stars that brothers Mathijs and Thomas would one day start a B&B . They grew up in a restaurant, developed a love for good food from an early age, and worked in numerous Michelin-starred restaurants, where they eventually met the women of their lives. With Oshine and Nathalie joining them, the By Sett team now consists of four passionate connoisseurs. Add to that the majestic country house built by Flemish cycling legend Peter Van Petegem, and you have a golden combination. And all this in Horebeke, right in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes. No fewer than seven cycling races pass by the front door.

Cycling enthusiasts will be in their element. What's more, you can stay in the former room of Peter Van Petegem, Le Flandrien. Even his cobblestone, won in Paris-Roubaix, is still shining here. Just like Van Petegem, you can enjoy the view of the orchard. Suite Marie, decorated in earthy tones, overlooks the Flemish hills, suite Victoria focuses on the atmospheric courtyard, and those who book suite Pavé get a private terrace. All guests can enjoy the swimming pool, sauna, and extensive garden. The brothers grow fruit and vegetables in the adjoining greenhouses, which are used to make delicious juices and jams. This ensures you have enough energy to explore the region by bike or on foot. Thomas and Mathijs even had four new walking routes developed, one in each direction.
