When a Belgian architect couple creates their own hideaway in Sicily, you end up with a dream home with a view and organic curves. Casa la Chiocciolina was built by local craftsmen using traditional regional materials. The stones, for example, came from a nearby quarry. And so this place almost disappears into the landscape.

A private road sends you up past olive and almond trees, and it is very much a question of what above first catches your attention. The imposing view of baroque Noto, not coincidentally Unesco World Heritage Site, or that imposing designer villa itself? Fortunately, choosing here is not losing. The estate covers 17,000 sq. m., the house is good for 150 sq. m. and from every angle you are served magnificent panoramas. Looking out over those endless olive groves, the valley and one of the most beautiful towns on the island. And you even do so from the pool.

Here you live outdoors to the fullest. The terrace measures 100 m², there are sunbeds and a float mattress for on the water, a plancha for cooking with a view of the cathedral and a covered terrace to catch the sunset. Aperitivo in hand. The main attraction, of course, is the red pool. Large enough to swim a few lengths, but also very suitable to just relax. In winter, by the way, it is heated so even then you can enjoy it intensely.

Inside the same luxury. A Boffi kitchen with a carrara countertop, a designer fireplace, a steel bib and that iconic Edra sofa. No TV and no stairs. But 2 luxurious rooms, each with private bathroom and a morning terrace where you wake up gently. Sometimes with a single Boffi bath, other times blessed with a view of Noto. So it's logical that you'll want to linger here more than anything else.
