Lynn and Joris don't like sitting still, and when they do take a vacation, they want everything to be just right. So it makes sense that their own vacation home is perfect in every detail. De Curiositeit is located in the center of Geraardsbergen, directly opposite the art academy, and was completely renovated in 2025. The authentic trusses were preserved, new plank flooring was installed, and Lynn carefully selected the most comfortable box springs.

You stay right in the center and on the second floor so you enjoy plenty of city life as well as abundant light. And because the owners love the good life, a wine wall pops up, filled with a selection of fine and affordable wines. After all, host Joris is a former student of Ter Groene Poorte as well as a sommelier, so he knows exactly which wines you absolutely must taste. Per bottle he even provides a sheet with more information and for those who want to know more, the wine encyclopedia is ready. Arriving later or don't want to leave the house that first evening? No problem, Joris will gladly prepare a dish for you, even a complete 3-course menu is possible.

Nearby awaits that iconic Muur van Geraardsbergen, which you can conquer on foot or by bike. And since you're staying in the middle of those Flemish Ardennes, even more challenging hills pop up. Bikes can be stored effortlessly in the entrance hall, and there is even a workstation for working on your bike. So you can optimally combine the advantages of the city with active outdoor activities.
