A story that spans generations and makes it clear that hospitality can be in your genes. That's what you'll find at De Lindenhoeve in Sluis. This has been the home of the Wemaer family since 1800. In 1944, Germaine rebuilt the family farm after the war bombings. She worked hard, but on Sundays she baked and enjoyed coffee and cake with the whole family. Germaine was soon nicknamed Aunt Germaine, and 20 years later, her children converted the family farm into a restaurant. An ode to their mother and her cooking skills. Today, grandson Sven and his wife Heidi welcome you under the linden trees. With open arms, just like Aunt Germaine did. You can come here at any time of the day. Brunch, a quick bite, lunch, a slice of cake, an extensive dinner, and finish with a pousse-café. Anything is possible. From apple fritters to lobster. You can sit on the terrace, in the cozy lounge, or in the courtyard garden, with a view of the playground.

Cherry on the cake is the brand new boutique hotel that opened its doors in 2023. Good for 9 rooms divided into 4 room types. All decorated with care, style and great attention to detail. Sometimes you have a terrace, other times you see your offspring diving enthusiastically into their custom-made bunk beds. Moreover, this small-scale luxury hotel also boasts a lounge bar, exclusively for hotel guests. In this honesty bar you can pour yourself a drink at any hour of the day or night and it seems as if James Bond could step in here at any time.
