Sometimes nothing is what it seems. You step into a stately notary's house from 1919 in Kemmel and you suddenly find yourself in a British country house with old-fashioned standing. A piece of England in the Westhoek, you will find in vacation home De Papaver. Complete with creaking stairs, shiny heirlooms and a charming billiard room. With next to the homemade picon, a gift made by the man of the house, a card: 'Je zi indelinks wel è komn'. Let it be clear, you are truly welcome. A house like a warm bath that gives you the wonderful feeling of staying with your bomma. Pure nostalgia. But with a jacuzzi in the courtyard. Because even centenarians have to move with the times. That is why each bedroom has its own bathroom. Around the corner waits the charming village square of Kemmel, passageway of numerous hiking trails. Those who prefer to stay at home gather around the fireplace, hang out at the bar or venture out for a game of darts. Sanne, the gentle hostess, is a grief therapist for children and adults and created a nest nearby where there is also room for grief.
