Sometimes the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. And that is certainly true of De Zonnebrug in the quiet village of Sint-Jan-in-Eremo. You’ll find this old dike farm in the idyllic Meetjesland, right in the heart of the Krekengebied, just off the Leopoldsvaart. And this 5,000 m² estate is surrounded by endless polders, fields, and meadows as far as the eye can see. True silence and intense tranquility, in other words.

In addition, this property consists of two parts: The Country House and The Lodge. They can be booked together or separately.

The Landhuis vacation home accommodates 6 to 8 people and features a cozy dining room with a wood-burning stove, underfloor heating, a comfortable living room, a separate TV room, a kitchen that foodies will love, and a spacious garden with a terrace and barbecue. There are 3 spacious double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and if you’re traveling with extra guests or little ones, you can book the guest room.

The photogenic The Lodge, on the other hand, is suitable for 2 to 4 people, offers views of the orchard, and is a cozy retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of the world. Authentic yet completely modern (complete with air conditioning). And thanks to the beautiful windows, you always have a view of the greenery that surrounds you. The open living space features a cozy sitting area (with a sofa bed) and a kitchenette, while the master bedroom is located on the mezzanine.

Knokke-Heist is just 25 kilometers away, and if you want to explore the quiet beaches of Zeeland, you can even do so by bike. Bruges and Ghent are about 40 km away. You can visit the coast or the city whenever you feel like it, and then return to that wonderful peace and quiet.
