Between the green mountains of Haut-Languedoc and the white beaches of the Mediterranean, in the charming medieval village of Neffiès, you will find Felix. A maison d'hotes half an hour from the sea and the mountains, right in the heart of this small hamlet. It's easy to get into the slow, local rhythm here. A few years ago, Delphine and Naim traded Brussels for this large old character house, which was built by and for a winegrower. There is plenty of space and lots of nooks and crannies, both inside and outside, to live out your own French dream. There is no rush here; the pace is leisurely.

There are 5 rooms of which 2, Bohémien and Botanique, have a separate bedroom and kitchenette, ideal for those traveling with their offspring. Béguin, located on the ground floor, is wheelchair-friendly and Beaufort and Bonheur, like the 2 larger rooms, have an elegant balcony. But of course you can also relax by the natural swimming pool or under one of the olive trees. Too warm, or just too chilly? Then settle into the lounge for some reading. Organic wine or espresso? You'll find it in the honesty bar.

Both at breakfast, the apéro and the table d'hôtes organized several evenings a week, you can fraternize with the other guests, but just as well focus on your own company. There are large guest tables as well as tables for 2, so freedom is all. Matter of enjoying your fluffy pancakes with pear compote undisturbed and slowing down at your own pace. Not necessarily obvious because Delphine and Naim know the region like the back of their hand and love to share their secret spots. Hard to surplice so if you suffer from fomo.
