Laura and Dries escape the hustle and bustle of the city to find a home among the rolling hills just across the language border, near Ronse. Right in the middle of the vast nothingness that turned out to be everything. They promptly renovated a beautifully situated vacation home there, simply to share their love for the region. Groot Kompas features understated, authentic materials, imposing beams, and a hot tub with a view of the hills. It’s delightful, inspiring simplicity. Numerous vistas let you fully enjoy the surroundings, and on the sunny terrace, you’ll have a front-row seat. If you really want to wake up, opt for the outdoor shower in the morning, accompanied by the chirping of birds. It’s all about starting your day feeling refreshed.
Right across the street is Klein Kompas, which is just as nice on its own, but seats only 4, so it’s a bit smaller. So there’s something for everyone.
