This story begins in the 1970s. That’s when Georgette and Etienne bought this stately mansion in Izegem, which featured a large entrance gate leading to the brush and shoe factory. Their grandsons, Rik and Yves, enjoyed a blissful childhood there. Many decades later, Yves, together with his wife Virginie, decided to renovate Marraine and Pépé’s house and open it to the public. And so, the mansion evolved into a B&B, restaurant, wellness center, and breakfast bar—contemporary and elegant, yet brimming with nostalgia.

In addition to the standard rooms, not only the stunning Heritage Suite but also the Marraine Suite stands out. A paradise for families that spans two floors. The children sleep upstairs and get there via the climbing wall and the climbing rope—thrill and excitement guaranteed. In the morning, they whiz down the slide to land right in the play area. Even more fun! Meanwhile, parents can relax in the spacious bathtub, count the stars in the shower, or warm up in the infrared cabin. There’s plenty of room, too—this suite sleeps five.

Enjoy lunch or dinner in the atmospheric restaurant, followed by some relaxation in the private wellness area. With a heated swimming pool, Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, ice scrub machine, hammam, and terrace with jacuzzi. And no, you don't need to bring your bathrobe. Everything is provided, from towels to tea. Of course, you can also order tasty extras. After all, the Herenhuis offers a wide range of packages. You can relax in the old-school living room. An aperitif, a game of billiards, or a board game? Here, choosing is never losing.
