Nothing is as beautiful as a family saga that connects generations. This is one such story. Silvie and Charles bought this little farm in Koolskamp back in 1920. At that time, it was already 100 years old and blessed with sweeping views and a lovely courtyard with a bakehouse and a barn. Every week, the oven was heated for anyone who wanted to bake bread, and the rest of the time was spent working hard in the surrounding fields.Five generations later, the House of Silvie allows guests to enjoy what has now become a luxury. Because that space from back then is still there, and today you can enjoy it without a care in the world. The grain loft was converted into a sleeping area, and an immense kitchen island was added on the ground floor so that you can chat together here or at the long table. Thanks to the open living space, you can admire the original trusses from your contemporary rocking chair, and in the bakehouse, the wood-fired oven bakes the most delicious pizzas. You can also cook in the courtyard, thanks to the White Fire barbecue. The small barn is another nice extra, equipped with an honesty bar and a place to play cards, board games, or try your hand at table football or darts. Or would you prefer one of the terraces, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the meadow while taking in the views? There are plenty of options, not to mention the three cycling routes that pass right by the door...
