In that wonderfully quiet, winding neighborhood just behind the beach of Oostduinkerke, you will find La Mer Veille – Becassine. Once the smallest hotel in Oostduinkerke, it has now been transformed into a stylish vacation home for 16 people, less than a kilometer from the beach. And even the commute is not disappointing, as you can walk through the shopping street, via the residential area, or along the dunes. Every moment here truly feels like a vacation.

This cottage house kept its authentic exterior, but was completely renovated without losing its character. The kitchen-living room, with its soft curves, cozy bar and garden view is a picture perfect setting, the dining room continues in the same vein, and in the living room you can admire one of the works of art, read comfortably by the fireplace or open the windows to enjoy the adjoining terrace. The spacious garden also has enough nooks to retreat to and focus on the birdsong that surrounds you. Life by the sea, in the greenery.

There are 5 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. And since the children gather in the dormitory, good for 6 beds, you can really take time for yourself. Or enjoy extra time in your bath by the window with the sun shining on your face. Rain shower? Then the entertainment corner still provides the necessary ambiance. And thanks to that wonderful microclimate, you are guaranteed to be heading back to the beach in no time.
