Between Mont Saint-Michel and Omaha Beach, in the lush, rolling countryside of Normandy, Steven and Cristoph stumbled upon an ^18th-century mansion that was actually for sale during a stopover on their vacation trip back home. It wasn't a mammoth, but it was a place with character, castle-like allure, and plenty of potential. A place they could call home. After love at first sight, they moved in and embarked on an intensive restoration process until La Thérèsienne saw the light of day.

Nothing was changed to the basics, which were, after all, already in place. The elegant manor therefore emerges in a green valley, on the banks of the Vire. A Norman picture, then, exactly as you imagined it. And the new owners went one step further by lavishing the place with lots of love and tons of good taste. Inside and out.

The garden boasts numerous delightful nooks in the greenery and a covered terrace where you can enjoy the view over the valley in the morning with your first cup of coffee or unwind in the evening. Inside, that idyll continues. Guests are welcome to linger in the lounge and fraternize with the other guests, after enjoying the gourmet breakfast or do some reading, a fine stock of books and magazines awaits.

The 3 rooms all have suite allure and feel like a warm, temporary home. Valentin, the largest in the row, charms with its many original woodwork, natural stone wall and beautiful play of colors. Estelle, in turn, unpacks with a romantic four-poster bed, an imposing fireplace and white-painted beams while attic room Louise mixes contemporary and antique elements grandiosely. Complete with a reading nook and an ancient truss. Want to book a few more nights?
