Le Petit Fief is located in the Ardennes, less than 10 km from Chimay. It started as a dream of Els and Jan and grew into a real family project, involving Jan's parents and Els' sister and her family. Fortunately, because it took a lot of work to renovate this old farmhouse into the charming gîte it is today. What's more, this family project was approached in a sustainable manner in order to minimize the ecological impact. After all, you are staying in the Entre Sambre et Meuse National Park, so the water is purified and recovered, and biodegradable soaps, household products, and toilet paper are provided.
Don't let the word 'petit' fool you, this is a really large vacation home. Large enough for 22 people and equipped with 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. The kitchen has 2 dishwashers and 2 microwaves, the living room has a fireplace and plenty of comfortable armchairs for chatting together, and the entertainment room has table football for the youngsters to enjoy to their heart's content. We bet they'll fall asleep like logs in 'their' charming attic bedroom! The biodiverse garden is 1,200 m² and just as well-equipped. Here you'll find a lounge area, barbecue, swing, sandpit, and a balance course. Or would you rather relax in the sauna?
