A life project. That's what Margaux and Gregory bought. Because you shouldn't put off your dreams. So they left Ghent behind and returned to their roots to breathe new life into an old farmhouse in Middelkerke, right in the middle of the lonely polders behind the coastline. Welcome to B&B Les Jardins de Jeanne. Here, there is no perfectly trimmed boxwood garden, but rather an untamed estate (covering 1.4 hectares) with pollarded willows, hidden corners, and a photogenic party barn. Including the trio of adorable cats that happily frolic around here. The three rooms, Jane, Serge, and Brigitte, are bathed in that same irresistible bohemian atmosphere. A mix of well-worn heirlooms, designer lamps, and warm materials. Or a place that warms your heart. All the authentic corners and weathered edges have been neatly preserved, from the creaky staircase to the rafters that you just about manage not to bump your head on. Outside, the great, silent nothingness awaits—there are no neighbors—and yet you are barely a kilometer from the beach.
