A real artists' place, that is Maison d'Artiste. This unusual b&b is located near the Ghent Dam Gate in a mansion from 1908 and offers three quirky suites and the necessary grandeur. Or make your entrance in an imposing stairwell. A start that can count. This is the home and workplace of hostess and artist Sandra Ruyssinckand anyone who wants to can peek into her studio by appointment to see her at work. Although all the suites boast high ceilings and creaky wooden floors, each has its own distinct atmosphere. Paon Royal immerses you in wistful shades of blue, good for a mysterious boudoir vibe, and a moving bathroom full of vintage and marble. Laurel surrounds you with shades of green and aptly overlooks the private garden with lilacs and apple trees as hints of sage and laurel waft towards you. Jade Blanc, equipped with a small kitchenette, keeps it pure and takes you to the Far North. So there is something for everyone and the inspiring artistic allure is included for free. Just like the bicycles, which you can borrow and so you can pedal to the heart of Ghent in less than 5 minutes.
