When Digna and Erwin looked around after their first overwhelming coup de foudre and admired the old lime trees surrounding the house, they quickly came up with a fitting name for their vacation home: Maison Les Tilleuls. Located on a green hill in the rolling Tarn-et-Garonne, perhaps one of the most underrated regions in France. And that's exactly why you won't find crowds here, but can enjoy the orchards and fields full of sunflowers and lavender in complete peace and quiet.

The heritage estate covers nearly 7,000 m² with a charming family house and a photogenic pigeonnier dating back to 1700 right in the middle. Robust no-nonsense romance, in other words. All the rooms of this renovated farmhouse overlook the garden which is bathed in sunshine from morning to night, and all the ground-floor rooms open onto the terrace. In the garden, not only are there numerous lavender bushes and roses, but also a delightful swimming pool right next to that authentic pigeon tower and sturdy cankers of trees that give you some shade. Also on the terrace you have here and there spots to relax in the sun. Enjoy at any time of day. And behind the old barn there is a wild, enclosed garden. Medieval Lauzerte, one of the most beautiful villages in France, is 4 km away and charms with its galleries, terraces and pretty winding streets. In summer, many artists organize exhibitions here, on Saturday mornings you do your shopping at the farmer's market and on Thursday evenings you stroll around the marché gourmand. Nearby, within walking distance, you will find a supermarket, pharmacy and a bakery with fresh baguettes and delicious croissants every morning.
