Friends pointed Cathy, who had been dreaming of a bed and breakfast in Provence for years, to an ^18th-century farmhouse near the photogenic village of Bonnieux, located between Avignon and Aix-en-Provence. It was ideally situated and blessed with a magnificent view of the Petit Luberon. In 2005, Cathy opened her Maison Valvert here. This Provençal estate is surrounded by the wooded hills of the Petit Luberon, and the domain itself boasts old cork oaks, cherry trees, and olive trees. Lavender fields guarantee a blissful scent, and countless shady spots can be found in the garden. Each one with a view.

The 7-hectare Provençal estate offers a variety of lodging options. The old mas has 4 rooms; further on the grounds, you’ll discovera well-hidden, luxurious treehouse 4 meters above the ground with a terrace, and there are also 3 maisonettes for two. Plenty of options, in other words, and something for everyone. You can cool off in the stylish pool, which is heated in the spring and fall. Lounging on a beach chair and reading for hours is also welcome, and for those who want to get active, there’s a professional petanque court. Add to all that bliss 300 days of sunshine a year, clear skies, and breathtaking nature, and you’ll understand why Cathy never wants to leave. This is truly the perfect place to unwind and find peace. And that’s exactly why Maison Valvert cannot be booked in its entirety.
