One and one and one story. That applies to Mas Le Clos Souris. Literally, in fact. Because this mas consists of several parts and is located near Fons-sur-Lussan, one of France's most beautiful villages. Blessed with 250 inhabitants from no fewer than 15 countries, as well as a café-brasserie and épicerie that is open all year round and located 1.5 km away. Nice and Avignon are 50 km and 60 km away, respectively. The oldest part of this mas was built in 1573. In the 1960s, artist Joseph Szabo bought the dilapidated building. He lived here until his death, after which Siegrid and Chris discovered the place and restored it to its former glory together with architect Vincent Fordel.

Today, Mas Le Clos Souris comprises The Old Mas, The Studio, and The Loft. Each is spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The Old Mas boasts five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a kitchen designed by Casimir, and a delightful courtyard where you can spend blissful summer evenings. In winter, you can settle down in the living room by the fireplace. The Studio, an apartment with a private entrance, is suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. This kitchen was also designed by Casimir, as was the staircase, and opens onto the terrace. The living room boasts a panorama that you will not soon forget. Joseph Szabo's studio has been transformed into The Loft, a place where creativity is in the air. Dutch artist Rikkert Paauw designed the kitchen, working with old furniture donated by locals who were keen for something new. The 4 bedrooms are located on the ground floor, each with its own bathroom and a terrace with access to the garden. One floor up is the living room with an adjoining terrace.

In the garden, a swimming pool, 2 petanque courts and a resurgence of overflowing fruit trees await. You'll find some shade in the hammocks under the pine trees, and on chilly days the wood-fired sauna beckons. Across the road, a wooden platform emerges, the perfect place to enjoy the panoramic sunset with an apéro and end your day.
