If you know exactly what you want, you often have to search a little longer. Just ask Suzanne and Jelle. The man of the house didn't want to build just any vacation home in the Ardennes; the couple was looking for a south-facing plot on a dead-end street. It sounds like finding a needle in a haystack, but that's exactly what they did. Because in the end, they stumbled upon a plot with a favorable microclimate and inspiring views of the valley. Reason enough to get creative with shipping containers and local materials. The result is Meuville50, which shines in the sun. The shipping containers form the surprising basis and are neatly embraced by a sturdy timber frame. A unique vacation home where things are turned upside down. You sleep on the ground floor, while one floor up there is a lovely living space with a panoramic terrace. It is divided into a kitchen with a dining room and a cozy living room, with a fireplace as a partition. This allows you to enjoy both sides. Every window also offers a greenpostcard view. Soon there will be a vineyard too. This means you can spend days here without feeling the need to take your car. The cows moo, a dog barks in the distance, a GR route passes behind the house, and you can do your shopping at the farm around the corner. Blissful tranquility that is only disturbed when Freddy passes by with his tractor. Coming home to the Ardennes.
