Some places are disproportionately blessed, Roc du Paradis in Chiny is one such place and has been widely known for a long time. King Baudouin was spotted on the hotel terrace and Jacques Brel is said to have written Rosa here, on a table napkin. Meanwhile, the hotel of yesteryear has been transformed into a magnificent XXL vacation home that still allows you to fully enjoy all that lush greenery. In fact, the open living space boasts a 180° panorama over the Semois valley. Add to that a host of iconic design pieces and you honestly won't know where to look first.

Foodies come home here, too. There are two kitchens, a professional one complete with walk-in refrigerator and one elegantly connected to the garden. Just so you can have a comfortable aperitif on that lovely terrace with a bite to eat. Or blissfully enjoying under that ancient magisterial ash tree. If you like it even more, then go grilling on the Ofyr. This is even possible in winter and afterwards you can warm up in the sauna, again with a view of the Semois, gather at the bar, play some pool or watch a movie together. All 13 bedrooms not only have their own bathroom, but each one also boasts soothing views. 11 rooms are located in the main building, 2 suites are waiting in the outbuilding.

During the day, the whole party is guaranteed to swarm out regularly. Hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, golfing, kayaking, fishing, it's all nearby, and of course you have to visit the Orval brewery. Bet you'll decide afterwards, sitting on the terrace with an Orval in hand, that life is good?
