Heritage must be treated with care. This is especially true for a farm dating back to 1769, located along a centuries-old sunken road, with woods and meadows as its only neighbors and an unparalleled view of the Zwalm Valley. You have to proceed with great caution. And that is exactly what Farah did. In order to preserve this timeless place in Paulatam, one of the 12 villages in the Zwalm region, for future generations, Farah approached the complex renovation in a thoughtful and environmentally friendly manner. This heritage property regained its soul and this enchanting vacation home became Sualma. A vacation home where you can relax with a whole bunch of people.

Ingenious architectural interventions brought extra light and space into the house without cluttering the property, and the entire ground floor is accessible to baby carriages, wheelchairs and walkers alike. The rooms are bright but cosy thanks to the century-old beams and the fireplace in the living room that also features 2 sitting areas. From just about every corner of this majestic building you can look out for miles over that ancient landscape.

The large double opening window adjoins the large garden with sunken terrace and allows you to fully enjoy the surrounding forest. A view that you are also served from the barrel sauna, and those who want to experience the same boss sensation inside will indulge in the mirrored bathroom. Guaranteed to be a hit with little people and that's no coincidence. They are the future so they are pampered here with children's books, puzzles, a wooden playhouse, but just as well with a made baby bed, a baby bath and a nursing pillow. Travel carefree. On all levels thanks to ecological renovation materials, floor heating, heat pump and ecological cleaning products. A matter of continuing to enjoy this ancient hotspot for generations.
