Cycling along slow roads, divingstraight into naturefrom the front door and letting the offspring race on sand hills. Maarten and Annelies and their little darlings Louise, Merel and Nand enjoy every day to the fullest the better country life in Zaffelare. So when one fine day the old forester's house right next door came up for sale, the young and enterprising family did not hesitate. Matter of being able to share all that simple but memorable happiness from now on.

't Jongehof appears along a simple country road, and as soon as the gate opens, your idyll begins. The former forest ranger's cottage is surrounded by lush greenery, and children have plenty of space here to go on adventures. Climbing trees, sliding down hills, sheltering from the rain in the play caravan, collecting eggs, picking apples, or exploring on one of the many go-karts. In short, endless fun and hours of outdoor play. Just like in the old days.

And good news for those who want to regain some strength in between, Annelies invariably bakes a cake to welcome her guests or do you set sail for the strawberry market in Beervelde in the spring? You can book one of the three rooms or the whole place. Available as a b&b and vacation home. Despite its renovation, the forester's cottage has retained its authentic look. The kitchen still looks out over the garden, there is a wood-burning stove in the living room and the rooms have rustic brick walls and elegant trusses.
