Vakantiehuis Madl Nieuw

About this place

MADL is located in the charming town of Machelen-aan-de-Leie—not coincidentally the birthplace of Roger Raveel. It’s a BEN (nearly energy-neutral) home for 12 that has everything you need for a pleasant and carefree vacation. From underfloor heating and individually controlled air conditioning to a garden packed with wellness amenities. The kitchen features two refrigerators, a freezer, and a pizza oven, and fresh pizzas are ready upon simple request. After that, you can relax in the living area—check out that comfy sofa—but there are other options too. The rooms on the^first floor open onto a common area with a lounge and foosball table. And one of the six rooms is even a full-fledged studio, complete with a kitchenette, coffee corner, private living space, and a separate entrance.

There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor, each with its own bathroom, and 4 more bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the floor above. And then there’s plenty of outdoor fun to be had in the fully fenced-in garden—perfect for those traveling with little ones. There are three terraces, one of which is covered and heated, but you can just as easily relax in the wood-fired sauna barrel, hot tub, or wake up refreshed under the outdoor shower. And for even more fun, there’s a dartboard, ping-pong table, kubb, or petanque. You can store your bikes in the outdoor shed.

Want to get out and about? The new “Poelberg-Baliekouter-Brielmeersen” hiking network passes right by your doorstep and takes you along quiet trails to hidden gems. Numerous cycling routes let you explore the region, and the famous F7 bike highway takes you smoothly to Ghent and even Kortrijk. Or experience the Leie landscape for yourself…
