About this place

An authentic apartment building right on the Zeedijk in De Panne. That is Villa Catherine. Originally built before World War I, it was bombed a month before the end of the Great War. The staircase remained intact and after the war the place was rebuilt. Admittedly with a touch of art deco. Incidentally, it was the sons of Albert Dumont, after whom the Dumont district was named, who acted as architects.

In 2024, the place underwent another round of renovation before rising as a luxury vacation home. Because the grandeur of yesteryear is still in the air here. So you have your own private terrace with sea view, elegantly closed with a fence and a wall, you have a handy beach cabin and also all the bedrooms at the front look out over the sea. A sauna also awaits in the garden. Handy to warm up during such a winter getaway weekend. The kitchen is located on the ground floor and one floor up is the living room. Again, endless sea views. Prefer to linger in the dining room or with the chef? A cozy sitting area awaits you there as well. Plenty of room!

In the bedrooms and bathrooms, light gray and sky blue accents make it clear that this is an iconic sea house and that the peace that awaits outside can be found here inside. Good to know, at 200 meters, 2 parking lots are waiting. So no endless lugging of your vacation supplies.
