When you are blessed with an eye for interior design and your father and husband are happy to roll up their sleeves, you can transform an old dike house into a cozy nest. And that is exactly what Liesbeth did. She created a place where you want to gather with friends or family. Catching up by the fireplace in winter, playing a game of petanque in summer. Villa Gisèle stretches along the IJzer River and guarantees memorable views of the Westhoek region. From the front row, no less. In front of you, at eye level, is that historic river, with quiet green plains to your left, right, and behind you. Sometimes with extra wisps of fog for even more effect, other times brightened by spectacular sunsets. And thanks to the many windows, you can admire it all in detail. Enjoy a cozy aperitif in the kitchen, relax in the slightly higher living room or even from the four bedrooms. You are always surrounded by the wild nature of the Westhoek. All the woodwork is homemade. The sturdy dining room table, the original sinks, the benches, all designed and manufactured by Dominique, the master of the house.
