When you’re surrounded by greenery, you truly realize how important nature is. So it’s no surprise that Tine and Filip won the “Country House of the Year 2025” award. They themselves live in a barn on the estate with their daughters, while they’ve converted the main house into a B&B. B&B Villa Tartine offers five unique rooms and fabulous views over the fields of Puur. Often finished with a photogenic layer of mist so typical of this Scheldt region. The couple uses energy, water, and food responsibly, and breakfast leftovers invariably go to the chickens and Jack and Jim, the two sturdy yet adorable Tartine pigs. A spectacle you can admire from the rooms. Gloria is located on the first floor, and the large windows seem to frame those fields; Lucy perches at the ridge of the roof, and from the blissful bathtub, you can count the stars. On the ground floor, Alice, Eileen, and Caroline await. The latter room features a bay window where you can sip your coffee or tea in the sun; from the bohemian garden room, Alice, you can step right out of bed into the garden, and in Eileen’s room, you can throw the floor-to-ceiling windows wide open to fully enjoy the greenery. Nature all around!
