Three hundred years ago, travelers passing through the Sint-Truiden area could already stop here to rest. As early as 1656, Afspanning In De Zwaan was the place to be for travelers who stopped here on foot or on horseback. Here, they could recharge their batteries with a hearty meal or a good night's sleep. David has revived this tradition. After 30 years in the hospitality industry, it is time to hang up his chef's hat. And so, the restaurant he ran for many years has been transformed into the delightful, authentic vacation home In De Zwaan.

A property with history and you can feel it. This is a house with many corners and sides, but despite its historical status - this is a listed monument - David managed to create 6 rooms and 5 bathrooms. Adapted to the needs of today, but with the soul of yesteryear. And so the dining room looks like a brown café, complete with fireplace, and the honesty bar is well-stocked with both Orval, Geuzes, house wines and champagnes. Or do you opt for draught beer or the separate wine list? A bite to go with that? Hobby cooks can enjoy the professional kitchen with separate cold room and if you ask nicely, David might even want to come and stir the pots.

Ambiance trumps all. On the heated outdoor terrace, you can play darts as well as table football, and the jacuzzi is available in summer and winter. From here you also have a view of the 65-are garden where even more entertainment awaits. From play equipment for the youngest over a petanque court and a soccer goal to a barbecue. A bit overwhelmed? No worries! David personally guides all his guests around!
